Re: RnR Oil Field Thread of Asskicking
Pretty much everything I explained but when you view it first hand it's crazy. Like standing on that p-Tank tail by the manifold to read the output pressure when they pressure test flow line for a Frac. So they are testing like four trades connections and it all ends through that manifold on that trailer...watching the deadweight reading(pressure meter) kick to 31Mpa or 4500 psi and the whole trailer and lines start rattling like mad. Like someone was physically shaking it and that trailer weighs 20 tons and its bouncing like tennis ball is intense.

Re: RnR Oil Field Thread of Asskicking
Just cause you know a union fails and comes apart your done. My job is the second most dangerous job in the industry. I'm constantly by and reading lines that have a crazy amount of pressure and I don't allow anyone to read or watch during pressure tests..or major flows..with my job the key is accuracy. I need dead on shit to know what I'm dealing with cause a hole drilled, well services, flowing and altered that's online is talking to you at all times. It's telling you what it wants to do and for the most part what it's going to do and the skill of the job is speaking the language.

Re: RnR Oil Field Thread of Asskicking
Been awhile since I updated this thread and since I made a switch in companies I might as well post more pics. A single drilling water truck and for surface casing for oil drilling. I since the last time I posted in this thread made a switch to a drilling company. So now ill be overlooking water and oil drilling. I'm going to oversee two bigger single drilling rig moves to our yard tomorrow. This however is a mobile single drilling unit. It's mostly to drill water wells but again if a initial hole is needed to be drilled and inspected for a deep oil reserve this unit comes in first and drills a hole...lines it with cement and puts the pipe casing in and then takes off so that a bigger drilling rig comes in to drill for oil. |
