Its not just young people that do this i go to street races and i see 20 to 35 year olds doing this but a large part of people that do this are young..

I agree that it's a crime committed by people of every age but either way, we as parents and concerned aunts, uncles, neighbors and so on should let those teens know exactly what can come about irresponsible driving. And yeah, putting on makeup, reading maps, taking calls and so on should be done while pulled over. I agree a trillion percent with that. It seems in most countries, 18 is the min age to start driving. Why the USA has it at 15 to get ones permit and 16 to get ones license beats me. That is way too young. |

this was a small time vid made by a gut in Wales (I'm not exact on the details buit was on the news recently) the local bobbies are using it in schools as an educational video as to why texting at the wheel can cost lives...it sure makes a bloody good impact, great post  |

A shocking video has been made for pupils in an attempt to stop car crashes caused by the driver texting while driving. The short film, starring young actors from south Wales, shows a teenage girl killing four people after she uses her mobile phone to send a text. Gwent Police said it hoped the graphic video would be shown in schools around Wales and hopefully the rest of the UK. Research has shown texting while driving slows reaction time by 35%. The film by Peter Watkins-Hughes has also been posted on video sharing website You Tube. It shows in slow motion a crash caused after a girl, called Cassie, briefly loses concentration of the road while looking at her mobile. This will have absolutely NO effect on the type of greedy, selfish creep who uses the phone with one hand while driving. That sort of scumbag doesn't care about other human beings. Why make them look so sad and cute? It's an insult to people who have been mutilated or KILLED by these scum. POS ad.

It's ridiculous. In the states it's illegal in most..(If not all) states to talk on the cellphone...but now they're in the process of making texting illegal. I think they got it backwards... Talking on the phone can be dangerous. Especially for the younger ones. But texting is suicidal. |

I don't think they can really give a percentage about how dulled reaction time is... People all react differently. They study should have had something to the effect of "Texting will fuck up your driving, stupid. Don't fucking do it." |

Those girls are really good actresses...When I first saw it, I googled it cause I wanted to know more about it, I googled something like cell phone psa car crashes, and was directed to this site, taken to Catsouras' link. Then I bookmarked it haha. They actually have a making of video of that on Youtube, you should check it out.

Hell yeah they need to ban this shit everywhere. What can be so important that you need to talk or especially text anyone while driving? I was cut off the expressway the other day because of some asshole talking on a cellphone. What did people do when there were no cell phones? They used pagers to get the number and then use a payphone. Even pagers could have been dangerous. I really liked this video and hopefully they will show it to ALL schools. They need to show this video to ALL teenagers who purchase cell phones and to drivers ed. Thanks for posting this video. RIP Lindsey (the driver of that car was a spitting image of My buddy who passed away from drugs)So kids don't do drugs drink and drive or talk or text while driving.
