Re: List of Botched Executions
Not a popular idea, but having worked in the system I can tell you that serving life without parole (different from life where there is the possibility of parole) is a far worse sentence. After a bit of time, these losers want to die. It's the easy way out. Prison is a shitty existence. That said, there have been some cases around here where it would be extremely easy to turn my head and let the fuckers get executed.

Re: List of Botched Executions
I think a shotgun to the head would be considered cruel and unusual. And explosives... come on. Are they gonna have an explosive room where they clean it every execution? |

Re: List of Botched Executions
See, as someone in the criminal justice field, I'm used to hearing and seeing evidence for both sides in regarding the death penalty. Honestly, the victims so often get overlooked and we focus on the sick sons of bitches who did it. "Oh, poor guy...that must have been awful." Yeah? So was being fucking bludgeoned to death, but we don't bother to think of that. These guys get off easy in my book. And the expenses of keeping them alive on death row? And court appeals? Why do these assholes get to appeal so much and slow the process? They got their sentence, carry it the fuck out. Bullets are 30 cents, rope is cheap. They made their beds, now it's time for them to lie in it and for us to not waste our time, money and resources on them. Great post, Eskimo |
