makes you wonder with all the myths if some of these monsters/creatures did exist in the past but were possibly killed off by the polution in the waters now adays

heard a story of a frenchman sailing the globe ,and a kraken got hold of the yatch, it slowed them down and they thought they were gonna capsize ,real pirates of the carribean shit.
