Re: A Certain Kind of Death

It made me sad to think all of these people died without someone who loved them.

Re: A Certain Kind of Death

A doctor who treated the last of my brothers who died said people usually know when they are going to die and wait until visitors leave the room to do so, even if there are family members.

You could be there 23 hours and when you step out for a snack or potty break, that's when they usueally die.

My niece was with her dad as much as she could be and she has a young baby, who is now 2. He kept telling her to leave, but, she stayed and went nearly every day.

He told my oldest niece and nephew his system was shutting down. He had blood in his urine for about a month, fell a couple times and lost feeling in this legs. When we found him on the floor, I asked him if he wanted me to call an ambulance and I did.

I honestly thought he'd be home. Two days before his birthday, he was up eating. He had been off and on a ventilator, but, when he tried to escape, he fell one night and was restrained.

Being an alcoholic, they gave him a lot of valium, (I think). I'm getting the records. Two days later was his birthday, he was pretty much out of it and about 4:30 AM or so the day after, he passed away, June 13, 2013.

When I got a call from a doctor telling me the next 24-48 hours were critical, I called all of his kids and they got there as they were trying to revive him.

It is sad though if you really have no one :(

Re: A Certain Kind of Death

One of the best films i've watched in a long time.

If you ever wondered what happens if you die and have no friends/family to take care of your belongings, funeral arrangements, ect.

A bit graphic. This is just the trailer.

Re: A Certain Kind of Death

This documentary has already been posted here last year:

http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...-death-118168/

Might be worth merging these two threads to tidy things up a bit.

The file is 200mb so I can't embed it as I think there's a 100mb upload limit, maybe a mod can do it.
