Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
Mate, I appreciate your attempt to contribute here but obviously this isn't your place to be. In fact, reading your post, I don't even know what made you become a member if you despise this board and its contents. And who are you to insult the people participating in this thread or this forum in general?

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
It's a bit like when if you see a religious nut stating a misinformed opinion as fact. To someone who didn't know any better they could read it, take it at face value and make life choices based on that "factual" information. Those life choices effect us all as we are all part of society. By coming on here and correcting those amoung us who seem hell bent on remaining in the cave men mentality, they are leaving more accurate information in the hope that people in society don't fall victim to the misinformed opinion of others. |

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
Being a self righteous jackass doesn't make you somehow better than people observing this thread. You make the logical leap that anyone participating in this thread somehow believes the death penalty is a good thing. Therefore people studying Nazi Germany must empathize with their cause and are anti-Semetic. I joined DocumentingReality not because I love to pleasure myself to the images of dead people or celebrate the death penalty, but rather expose myself to subjects not accessible in the general public. Everything in the general media is so sanitized and therefore not telling the full truth of what is happening in the world. I have seen one beheading video and that was the last one I will watch. I also believe the mods here have done a fairly good job of getting rid of the nutters, but like with any subject you will draw extremists. With that being said, feel free to fuck off with your ideals, no one will miss you. |

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
I don't think anyone can claim to be better than anyone else. I haven't seen anyone claiming to be better, nor have I seen anyone claiming that everyone participating believes the death penalty is a good thing. Everyone on here has ideals. The unfortunate fact is some are routed in factual information and help to advance society, while others are routed in bullshit and serve to keep it dumbed down. I welcome all views but I challenge those that I see have no evidence or merit. But if some people are so touchy and don't like being challenged then perhaps they should feel free to fuck off. Just a thought. |

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
I get annoyed when people pass judgement as if somehow they are holier than thou. I welcome anyone condoning the death penalty, but to go on a tirade about the character of those who may not share those views are childish and petty.

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
Unfortunately people judge all the time. Hence we have a thread such as this where some seem to be very happy with the death penalty. You could get an idea of someones character based on their views and posts on certain topics. I don't feel differences like that makes anyone a lesser person though. Everyone on here is free to reply to any posts they feel wronged by. For me the annoying thing is when it simply devolves to name calling |

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
These threads were started because there was a lack of up to date information on the topic. Not more, not less. What members make of the info they gather is up to themselves.

Re: 2012 Executions in the USA
Yeah, but the people have been judged and sentenced to death. The ultimate form of judging. Without that there would be no thread. But I am very grateful for this thread. |
