Re: 2011 Executions in the USA
More positive information about the death penalty. In my Liberal Pennsylvania, once again the Parole Board let a convicted murderer out on parole only to have them commit another murder. I HOPE the victim's family files a HUGE lawsuit against the Parole Board and State. Maybe if these Liberal assholes had to pay for it they might think twice about letting a convicted murderer loose. |

Re: 2011 Executions in the USA
Gladiator games would only give these ass hats some glory. A better idea would be to ship them all over to different exotic game hunting sites. Put a 30% tax on the cost to hunt them, then the felon dies, a company makes money, and we get some of that put back into the system. Done and DONE.

While in Phoenix, West told friends what he had done. One of his friends called the Pima County Sheriff's Office and told deputies to check on Bortle. On July 17, 1987, a deputy entered Bortle's trailer and found Bortle's bound and gagged body. Bortle had died from blunt force injuries to his head. Citations: State v. Re: 2011 Executions in the USA
Mark Anthony Stroman Executed July 20, 2011 08:53 p.m. CDT by Lethal Injection in Texas ![]() Crime: When Stroman entered the station early that morning, he demanded money from Patel. Patel reached for a .22 caliber pistol that he kept under the cash register, but he did not retrieve it. Stroman then shot the unarmed Patel in the chest, causing Patel to fall to the floor. The surveillance video showed that while Patel lay dying on the floor, Stroman was unable to open the cash register. Stroman demanded that Patel “open the register or I’ll kill you." Stroman later described the robbery and shooting, and his motives and preparation for it to a fellow prisoner, who testified at Stroman’s trial that Stroman told him he had “been in the store two or three times previously to check it out and he didn’t see any cameras.” Stroman admitted that he intentionally killed Patel with a .44 chrome-plated “big long pistol.” Angry at people of Middle Eastern Descent following the September 11, 2011, terrorist attacks, Stroman’s killing of Patel was the last of a series of violent crimes that he committed against those whom he considered to be of Middle Eastern background. On September 15, 2001, Stroman murdered Waqar Hasan by shooting him in the head as Hasan grilled hamburgers in his Dallas store. Stroman later told a fellow-prisoner that his murder of Hasan was his ninth crime of this type. Stroman also demonstrated racial motives for the killing, and stated that he was a member of a prison gang, had a .44 pistol and some automatic weapons, and intended to go to a shopping mall and start shooting everybody because of all of the Middle Eastern people there. On September 21, 2001, Stroman shot and wounded Raisuddin Bhuiuian as Bhuiuian worked in a convenience store and service station. Unlike the murder of Patel, the crimes against Hasan and Bhuiuian did not involve robbery. Stroman admitted to all of these crimes and lacked remorse for any of them, claiming that he had performed a patriotic duty. Regarding his murder of Patel, Stroman told the fellow-prisoner that his country “hadn’t done their job so he was going to do it for us.” Citations: to be updated Final/Special Meal: Chicken fried steak with gravy, a ham-and-cheese omelet with onions and tomatoes, bacon, fried potatoes, fried squash and okra, pork chops with eggs sunny-side up, Dr. Pepper and a pint of vanilla Blue Bell ice cream. Last Words: From inside the death chamber, Stroman looked at five friends watching through a window and told them he loved them. "Even though I lay on this gurney, seconds away from my death, I am at total peace. I'm still a proud American, Texas loud, Texas proud. God bless America. God bless everyone. Let's do this damn thing." |

Re: 2011 Executions in the USA
Thanks for the latest. If you read my prior post, Thomas West would still be alive if he were in Pennsylvania as he would have never been sentenced to die for one murder. Cripes he would have likely been paroled like the guy I noted in my story.

Re: 2011 Executions in the USA
Well, I liked Pennsylvania when I visited on my last years road trip. Haven't encountered any hostilities whatsoever. Everyone has been nice to the German guy:) I wouldn't know about all the politics though. Death penalty state doesn't sound so liberal to me? Anyway, next in line is Mister DeYoung of Georgia: Andrew Grant DeYoung Executed July 21, 2011 08:04 p.m. by Lethal Injection in Georgia Crime: Along with accomplice David Michael Hagerty, DeYoung went to his parent's home and stabbed his mother to death while she was in bed. Her screams awakened his father. As he struggled with his father, his 14 year old sister Sarah came to the doorway. DeYoung slashed his father to death, and then stabbed and killed Sarah in the hallway. His 16 year old brother Nathan escaped through a bedroom window and returned with a neighbor, who identified Andrew at the scene. Accomplice Hagerty told police and later testified that Andrew's plan was to start a business and needed his inheritance now, which he estimated at $480,000. The plan was to kill the entire family and set fire to the home, which was foiled by Nathan's escape. Haggerty was sentenced to life imprisonment. Citations: DeYoung v. State, 268 Ga. 780, 493 S.E.2d 157 (Ga. 1997). (Direct Appeal) DeYoung v. Schofield, 609 F.3d 1260 (11th Cir. 2010). (Habeas) Final/Special Meal: Pizza, breadsticks, all fruit strawberry preserves, concord grape juice and vanilla ice cream. Final Words: "I'm sorry for everyone I've hurt." |
