Re: 2010 Executions in the USA

Sorry but this whole thread pisses me off. Not only because of how few on death row are actually being executed but because of their last meal. Haven't they cost taxpayers enough money then to spring for a last meal? Give them whatever the prison is serving that day.

I would also implement pay per view specials on each execution. Not from the Liberal "the criminal had a horrible life side" but show the victims and how the crime impacted their families. Show the death scenes in which the murderer showed no pity to the victims. Then split the money into reimbursing taxpayers and the victims families.

Can't say these people didn't deserve the death sentence after what they did....however...lethal injection is somewhat more painful then shocking to death!

Lethal injection is a combination of 3 drugs.
Sodium Piothental a Barbiturate
Pancoronium a muscle relaxant
Potassium Chloride stops the Heart.
Pretty fucking Humane if you ask me.

Re: 2010 Executions in the USA

Last one for this year, new 2011 thread to be started!

John David Duty

Executed December 16, 2010 06:18 p.m. CDT by Lethal Injection in Oklahoma

Victim:

Crime:

Duty was serving a life sentence when he killed his cellmate, 22 year old Curtis J. Wise Jr., by strangling him with a bedsheet. Approximately one hour later, Duty wrote a letter to Wise's mother which stated: "Mary Wise, Well by the time you get this letter you will already know that your son is dead. I know now because I just killed him an hour ago. Gee you'd think I'd be feeling some remorse but I'm not. I've been planning since the day he moved in last Friday. Tonight I finally pulled it off. Would you like to know how I did it? Well I told him I wanted to use him as a hostage. Hell he went right for it, thinking he was gonna get some smokes out of the deal. Well I tied him up hands and feet, then I strangled him. It's not like the movies, it took awhile. But I really did him a favor as he was too stupid to live. I mean he didn't know me 5 days and he let me tie him up like that, Please! Besides he was young and dumb and would've just been in and out of prison his whole life.So I saved him all the torment. I've been in 24 years, wish someone would have done me the same favor back then. I guess you're thinking I'll be punished for this. Well not likely in this county. The DA's here are weak bitches and don't give a damn about deaths of inmates. We're all just scum to them. Besides I'm doing 2 life sentences so they can't hurt me. But you can call them and tell them about this letter, but it wouldn't do you any good. Well I'm gonna close for now and I'll tell police in the morning about Curtis." The letter was confiscated before it left the prison.

Duty pled guilty, offered no mitigation, and was sentenced to death.

Duty v. Workman, 366 Fed.Appx. 863 (10th Cir. 2010) (Habeas).

Final/Special Meal:

A loaded double cheeseburger with mayonnaise; a foot-long Coney with cheese, mustard and extra onions; a cherry limeade and a large banana shake.

Final Words:

"To the family of Curtis Wise, I'd like to make my apology. I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me, not for my sake but for your own. My family and friends are here, too. Thank you. You've all been a blessing. Thank you, Lord Jesus. I'm ready to go home." Duty continued to say "Thank you, Lord" as the execution started and his breathing became labored.
