Re: Scientific Ghost Theory

dude i had the same vision a few month's back about this and i stumbled on this same idea thats why new houses are not haunted because its too new old Victorian houses with things that haven't moved forever have a better chance of the ripple effect you were talking about possibly the person walking in another dimension in time in the same house

Re: Scientific Ghost Theory

There is no such thing as ghosts. We're lumps of carbon ffs. We expire like a battery and go to dust. There are no time ripples, other dimensions, and there is no meaning to life. People see stuff. The brain's a powerful thing. Add emotions and bish bash bosh = Ghosts.

Re: Scientific Ghost Theory

Interesting concept. I've been a paranormal investigator for ten years. Unfortunately, time only applies to the living. I feel like "ghosts" are always around us. Periodically the veil that is between us and them thins, allowing us to interact. I work at one of the most haunted places in the world, but I am no expert. Unfortunately, we won't know the answers until we're dead. I love the idea. All we are is energy, so the flow of water is a powerful representation!

I also do not believe in 'ghosts' as they are popularly described... but you are way off base on the science my friend! There are in fact other dimensions and 'ripples' as you call them - in time. They are just not like you see in the movies. Other dimensions ( such as time ) are not necessarily observable by the human senses.. Ripples (I would call them distortions myself) in Time are caused by gravity of massive objects and their relative effects on photons. So photons= light = the transmission of information = man-made perception of time

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimension

Though these are theories, there is a lot of mathematical evidence suggesting the possibility of other dimensions.
One thing that really blows my mind is quantum entanglement and its potential relation to entropy and time.

Time always moves forward. Water can move in any direction.
