Curious about the veracity of this photo, though: there are no first-responders visible in it -- only their vehicles and "jumpers" evident while the view encompasses quite a bit of real estate. Odd?

A little odd perhaps, but considering the fact that bodies were continuiosly falling, many of them stayed back as far as they could. Not to mention building debris coming down as well. If you look at the National Geographic Channel's Inside 9/11 channel, there is an FBI agent named Wesley Wong that talks about being just outside the NorthTower's lobby. The windows were blown out and he was standing just outside of one of them when he looked up and saw a man coming down right on top of him. He barely made it inside the window when the poor guy hit the sidewalk. With things like that happening, I really am not surprised they were in the South bound lanes of the WestSide highway. Many more were much closer to the World Financial Center's buildings.

Very. I had a friend in the North tower that day, and he very well may be one of the people that are laying on the ground around the VIP driveway, or on the plaza or on the hotel, on on WTC # 5.

Thanks Sharon. It sucks but we all have to deal with death sooner or later. I can't really come up with a good way to die, but some are much better than others. Always wondering which way he went, jump or burn ? Horrible way to die either way. Good to hear from you, and thank you. - Bill
