Can anyone explain why most of these victims are prone? We’re they forced to kneel or bow? Or does something about the poison cause them to end up prone? I know it’s probably a strange observation but it caught my attention |

I always come back to this. There is something about this massacre that sets it apart from other cult implosions. I've often wondered if purgatory exists and they're reliving this day over and over again. |

According to survivors, 1 survivor in particular, most didn't willingly commit suicide. Most were forced too. Either by direct threat, or from watching as others were threatened or murdered by being shot with bullets, or injected with the poison. By the time this mass death event happened, most people wanted out. But Jones had enough henchmen with guns to control everyone. |
