Re: Jonestown Massacre Photos (18 November 1978)
Sorry for the slight bump. I am obsessing over this story at the moment. Currently reading 'Raven', written by a survivor. (I highly recommend it by the way) I watched a video recently where two of Jim Jones' sons (the only surviving ones I think) Steve and Jim Jr. went back to Jonestown, Guyana. There's barely anything there now, everything's overgrown. Except for daisies growing where the bodies laid out in the sun for days (apparently). Steven, his biological son, was really upset and moved by the visit and went to go and sit alone to reflect about the whole thing. Jim Jr., the adopted son, couldn't wait to go and find the big metal tub they mixed all the poison in! I thought it was interesting to see how different they both felt about the place. (Both sons were conveniently away from Jonestown on the day in 1978 at a basketball game.) |
