You are right...this is called 'mass suicide'

There's a significant difference between "suicide" & GENOCIDE. More people than not were forced into taking poison, if they didn't drink it willingly they got a shot in the arm...or a bullet to the head. A lot of bodies were found in the jungle where people tried to escape & were killed. The vast majority of people there by the end did not want to be there but had no escape. These people were conned in to the situation, & Jim Jones was psychotic, especially toward the end when he was full of drugs.

dont remember where i found it, but there is a recording of their final moments. you hear him preaching for most of it and you can also hear children crying in the background. what a nut, such a waste of human life

Perhaps you should look at your own source's commentary. Alternative considerations. It's not a factual site but rather one that presents a different perspective on the stuff outside the facts. The facts have stated that not only do we have audio right here from the final moments of Jonestown that spends at least 30 (likely closer to 40) minutes listening to people calmly "drink the Flava".

Secondary to this, most people had no injection marks and it would have been impossible to move all these people who were "forced" into this position in the timeline from the time of the airstrip shooting to the time authorities got there.

The differentiation in what is presented from facts that are linked are through researched opinion and conclusion to go away from the official records.
