JonBenét Ramsey was reported missing by her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, early on the morning of December 26, after a ransom note demanding $118,000 was found in the house. Later that day, JonBenét’s body was discovered in the basement of the family home. An autopsy revealed that she had been killed by strangulation and a blow to the head. The nature of her death and evidence found at the scene led to an extensive and complex police investigation.

The Boulder Police Department faced criticism for their handling of the crime scene and initial stages of the investigation. The case was complicated by the high public profile of the Ramsey family and the intense media scrutiny that followed. For years, suspicion hovered over various individuals, including JonBenét’s parents and her older brother, Burke Ramsey. However, they maintained their innocence and were never charged with the crime.

In 2003, trace DNA taken from JonBenét's clothing was found to belong to an unknown male, casting further doubt on the family’s involvement. The Boulder County District Attorney’s office subsequently cleared the Ramsey family of any involvement in 2008, citing the DNA evidence.

I feel so bad about what happened here.
The family knew what happened here, and they kept tight lippd to what they thought was the bitter end.
Now Patsy herself is dead.
Oh how I wonder if there was a confrontation about this in the afterlife.
