Could be Israel. JFK got wind that the Dimona nuclear plant in the Nagev desert was refining uranium for nuclear weapons. Israel refused to allow the nuclear inspectors in. JFK gave Israel an ultimatum, that, if the inspectors were not allowed in, then JFK would stop giving Israel the millions it does in aid. Premier Ben Gurion resigned rather than give the US an answer and JFK was dead a fortnight later. It did then take some time after the assassination before inspectors got access to the facility - or so they thought,... those sneaky Israeli's, had built a completely fake control room, directly in front of the real one! So the inspectors didn't smell a rat and swallowed the whole charade. It was revealed to be true though, when whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu handed over rolls of film showing the fake control room, the real control room and the enrichment process for weapons use. He was then kidnapped, returned to Israel, tried as a traitor and sentenced to 17 years in prison. To this day he is under constant surveillance, he cannot leave Israel and is not supposed to talk to any media. |
