I think Weidman has a legit chance. However, fighting Anderson Silva is like being Neo from the Matrix when he first gets put in that fighting simulation against Morpheus.  It's like he moves at super-human speed, and sees your punch coming before you even start to throw it and moves outta the way - shit he backed against the damn cage, dropped his hands, and let Stephan Bonner take free shots at him until he decided to finish him!  Every time he fights he gets better, that's the most crazy thing about him. Re-watch his last fight; the rematch with Chael Sonnen, he was on the ground under Sonnen for all but like 20seconds of the first round and didn't get hit ONCE... Granted, Chael comes from a wrestling background, not a BJJ one... still, that's pretty amazing. |

I was just breaking downunder 's balls. Everyone has a chance in mma. Yea pretty much. Sonnen with a testosterone to epitestosterone ratio of 17-1 > Chris "All-American" Weidman imo. Silva's biggest threat to his title is himself. |

I agree with rapewhistle, I think he has a very good chance (flame on illusion). Maybe your right illusion about the biggest threat being himself, all the talk of superfights, of fighting Roy jones Jr, talking about mayweather (before anyone says anything silva would destroy the wife beater even under K1 rules), of retirement may end up (if it has not already) breeding complacency. Anything can happen in MMA (as said already) more so then any other combat sport. Thats what makes MMA great. One slip, one arrogant gesture, one poorly timed strike or take down and its over. I know boxing is frowned upon here but if you guys have nothing better to do check out price Vs thompson 2 tomorrow will be interesting. Also I cannot wait for mayweather/alverez. Alverez is the only male on the planet that I (with shame) can say I am jelous of. undefeated in 43 and he is only 22 fucking sick. I was actually thinking about entering the states illegally to go to this fight. The only issue I have is the weight but fuck it, as elton john once said |
