So, there's hope for Muslims after all... just give them about 100 years, and they'll right around where we are now.

Re: The Lynching of Jesse Washington

All of these are your subjective opinions rob, not facts.

The Facts:

1) He was accused of a crime and tried in a court of law.

2) He confessed to the crime.

3) He was lynched/ hung/ burned as punishment.

The rest is just unsubstantiated speculation.
I'm sure that his lawyer was present and he wasn't beaten or coerced during his "confession" too

Go read the wiki page and tell me again that he got a fair trial.

The local papers were encouraging mob action before the jury selection...... I suppose that wouldn't prejudice the potential jury though
How many blacks were on that jury again?

A mob stormed the jail looking for him before the trial even began, it was pure luck that he wasn't in there or he would have been lynched before the trial even started.

Go read, come back and tell me that this is a case of justice served.

Wiki page is mostly opinion, and I don't think anyone gets a "fair" trial.

Did OJ?

Objection your honor, speculation from a biased amateur researcher.

We once went to visit the father of this guy my parent's worked with that lived in the TN mountains. He had built it by hand from stones from the river.

He was old and southern and showed us the photo of this black guy that was lynched. My sisters and I were mortified. I mean you see it books but an actual photo from a man who seems really nice.

I never even asked what he did to get lynched.

He didn't know his place, I'm sure.

You get the "fairest" trial that you can afford to.

If OJ had been tried in that courtroom on that day, he'd have been dragged outside and lynched.

Don't you agree that he is guilty of killing Nicole and Ron Goldman?
