This picture is just sad all the way around. Old growth trees cut down, horses overloaded, and smug old white men fattening their wallets. Pathetic.

I drove belgian draft horse teamsthree abreast in Montana and this load was not pulled by those two animals in the pic

They're not mules, they are draught horses, you can tell by their size and hooves, bred for pulling loads ect
