His name is Joel-Peter Witkin, he works with morgues, institutions, and hospitals to get the subjects for his work.. really interesting, I love how macabre and light it is.. it's a great contrast.
wow! i was expecting some old dude circa 1850's but this artwork is pretty recent! that is cool!

Very interesting. I think Naked City used one of this guys images for an album cover. The side-on view of the head with fruit looks very familiar.
