Apparently back then, it was cheaper to have a photo taken of a dead relative than it was to have one taken of a live one, so people would even dig up their dead relatives and pose with them

If the eyes were closed on some of them they would look like they are sleeping. It is sad to see the children but I think it's such a special thing to bury the twins together. |

It's so sad to see so many dead children. I almost cried at the photo of the twin babies. I can't imagine having to endure something like that. Very Beautiful photos. There is a company called "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" that does photos of babies and newborns that have died or are dying. It's beautiful but so sad.
