Well if a homeowner blew away a thief..I doubt he'd come back at all since he'd be in the ground or jail.

Plus, why would a thief break into someone's house when there's a good chance that the person will be armed? Why not pick someone they know isn't home or unarmed?
If you're a thief and all you do is break into houses where the people have guns..I don't think you'll be in business for too long even if you carry a gun.

So I'm assuming you would rather be a person unarmed against a thief than armed against a thief?
I don't see the logic there but to each their own.

I think if the bad guy has something, the good guy should have something just as good if not better.
