Sharon, F1 drivers don't use videogames to train: they use simulators that cost MILLIONS; a videogame is not the same thing. The most expensive f1 videogame costs £49.99, the cheapest F1 simulator costs £4millions.

Hamilton did use both simulator and PS3 in 2012 to have an idea about Austin track, which was only recently completed so no telemetric data were available yet, so he was able to learn at least the sequence of the corners.

F1 drivers use games to become extremely familiar with the tracks.

They use the simulators to "simulate" the environment, hence the name "simulator"

They have Apache simulators too I bet.
