Re: Shooting on Texas Campus
A Texas Tech University student is in custody after an officer was shot and killed at the campus police station, officials have said. University police said they performed a welfare check on a student, named by the college as 19-year-old Hollis Daniels, and discovered drugs. After Mr Daniels was taken to the campus police station, he is alleged to have shot an officer in the head before fleeing on foot, according to university spokesman Chris Cook. The police officer died. |

Re: Shooting on Texas Campus
I live in lubbock and it wasn't even drugs just paraphernalia, but I haven't heard what kind. I think he was strung out and hadn't slept for a couple days and freaked when the cops showed up. No telling how he got the gun let alone why the Tech cops didnt pat him down before taking him to hq. Stupidity all around.

Re: Shooting on Texas Campus
Daniels’ mother told police that her son was suicidal, “prompting the dorm room visit.” One of Daniels’ suitemates reported ‘odd behavior' from Daniels. “Before he was located by police, police said Daniels’ family called the campus counseling center expressing concern that the suspect was making comments about suicide and possibly had a weapon,” Upon entering the room, officers allegedly “found evidence of drugs and drug paraphernalia,” a statement from the university revealed. Newsweek reports that Daniels wasn’t in the room, but police then tracked him down. Officers brought the suspect to the police station for standard debriefing. “During this time, the suspect pulled a gun and shot an officer in the head. Daniels, who has been charged with capital murder, allegedly confessed to the slaying once caught, telling police he “fucked up” and did “something illogical,” according to a warrant. Daniels, who went by the name “Reid,” hails from a prominent family of theater owners in Seguin, Texas and was a communications arts student whose mother is a well-regarded travel writer, according to his Facebook page and other social media accounts. He was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. on October 9 after fleeing on foot. The shooting caused panic throughout the locked down campus. His father is a former city councilman from a family with long roots in the small community where he is from. The slain officer has been identified by police as Floyd East Jr., a 48-year-old married father of two. |

Re: Shooting on Texas Campus
It's little fuckheads like him, that inadvertently justify the War Of Drugs in our crooked masters' minds. Free drug offenders, and incarcerate fuckheads. That's the best solution to crime |
