Hasselhoff Saddened by Wounding of Store Clerk
August 21, 2013, 1:33 PM EST SHELTON, CT (AP) -- David Hasselhoff says he's shocked and saddened after learning that a Connecticut convenience store clerk was critically injured while trying to stop thieves from stealing signs featuring his image. Hasselhoff, the former, "Baywatch," star, tweeted that Tuesday's robbery in Shelton, Connecticut, was a tragedy and his thoughts are with the clerk and his family. Police say a 36-year-old Cumberland Farms worker confronted the thieves and was struck by the their SUV, resulting in a serious head injury. The men made off with two signs featuring life-size images of Hasselhoff hawking Cumberland Farms iced coffee. The clerk remained hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday. His name hasn't been released. No arrests have been made, but police say the SUV driver has come forward and confessed.  · |

People will steal anything I guess. I've heard the little pot holders that go on the end of Queso skillets at Chili's get stolen at a ridiculous rate. My other buddy had one of the pot holders on his e-brake. Less about the object, more about the theft I guess? I pilfered a construction barrel once, got it home and then was like, "WTF do i do with it now?"

Hahaha, when I was 17, and most likely drunk, some friends and I stole some of those round flashing lights they put on construction barrels. Those things are huge up close, whoa! |

Sounds about right. Those lights are huge! The battery on it is heavy too Every time I think that having kids would be cool, I think of all the stupid, reckless shit I did as a teenager and realize a teenage son is an open door for karma to walk through and kick my ass. I do not want the same calls my parents got...  |

i stole a stop sign (it was being replaced and they left the extra on the ground...so i took it) and another sign that says 'top gun'   and a couple of hand painted sings from a bar that was being renovated. i wouldnt have stolen the hasselhoff one though.

When my younger sister was about 15 she wanted a shopping cart in her room. I don't remember how the joke started but one day I was driving home and saw one had strayed from the grocery store up the street. She had a friend staying over and I told her about the cart. They snuck it upstairs while my parents were sleeping. When my mom finally saw it a couple months later she made her take it back to the store.
