abusing a vulnerable person like that is unforgivable.
i worked in an old folks home and i tried to make a connection with each of the residents and spend time with them, i felt that was important as some had no visitors or family. i liked their stories of times past and news of their family.

not all the residents were mentally sound but i made allowances for their behaviour.

if they decided to act up i always showed kindness and patience which i found was the best way to calm and reassure them.
i didn't choose the job, it sort of came my way.
i'm a caring guy and i'm interested in people so apart from chores around the place it hardly seemed like work

I think the family members should choose the punishment!

A friend of mine had her mother in a nursing home because she had dementia. On several occasions, when they went to visit, she was walking around nude and disoriented!

Horrible! I remember seeing a special on tv where the workers were trying to eject the patients onto the floor from their chairs. Most were very thin and couldn't get up. They'd throw them in the beds like dolls!

Saw another with a disabled little girl and the, "nurse", put her in her wheelchair upside down and did all kinds of mean things to her. The father felt something was up because the girl was distressed when the, "nurse", came to the house.

I believe the girl couldn't talk and may have been blind so it was extremely, extremely cruel!

Unfortunately that kind of jobs are dream positions for these kind of dysfunctional dirtbags: they can exercise abuse, control and power over people who are too weak and vulnerable to fight back. How despicable, the bitch should be punished as well as one can
