Actually, that neighborhood had many burglaries and calls to 911 in the past 18 months which led to the residents forming a neighborhood watch. Zimmerman was the leader. While he wasn't on duty at the time he saw Trayvon, who wouldn't think a man in a hoody casually walking in the rain isn't suspicious. Zimmerman called 911 and followed Trayvon (which he shouldn't have done) but Trayvon ran away then came back to initiate the conflict (which Trayvon shouldn't have done).

The worst part of the whole case is that Trayvon was black and Zimmerman isn't so people have to play the race card. See, its really funny when the media feeds the idiots. I really should get a refund for my coin.

Trayvon coming back to initiate makes zero sense, though. You don't spend minutes trying to lose someone, lose them..then look for them. It goes against everything Trayvon did.

Paint the kid any way you want, but in the end, Zimmerman was nothing but a pussy that couldn't fight a 5'11 150 pound boy fist to fist.

Me personally? I don't want people like Zimmerman patrolling my neighborhood,harassing minority youth. Minorities have it bad enough out here in America.

Zimmerman called the police a little over 80 times in 2011 to report suspicious black individuals.

At 1 point, he called them to report a black boy aged 8 to 10.

I hate to bring race into this, but it's painfully obvious what his motive was.

Personally, I do not believe based on my knowledge of human behavior that someone on the phone with his girlfriend would ambush someone following him. But I can't prove it. And because I can't prove it, GZ walks. But just because GZ walks, that is not an exoneration of his actions, or an indictment of Trayvon's. That may be a too subtle distinction for those who enjoy playing the blame game and stirring things up generally.

Well I've read different accounts of how it happened. A majority of the accounts said Trayvon punched Zimmerman as he was getting back into his SUV. That makes sense since that "pussy" found himself in the ground getting beat.

And again, stop with the whole race thing.
