Re: Coward Cop Shoots a Dog That Was Jogging Towards Him
Shouldn't of had the dog off the leash but still... Just to shoot off hand? Even if I was in the middle of nowhere and not soul around I would at least fire a warning shot. And the owner was there and he knew what the call was for. Dog off leash. Issue a citation and move on. But then again... none of us were there to see it. My cousin did the same thing one day. They live out in the country and had no dog. Cousin gets home and some stray jumps off the porch and runs toward my cousin. He shot and killed it and then told me how bad he felt cause in retrospect he felt that the dog was looking for a friend. He actually would of liked to have the dog. Then again, after being repeatedly attacked by a pitbull I can understand... they're a formidable dog.

Re: Coward Cop Shoots a Dog That Was Jogging Towards Him
If a dog was jogging towards me with his tail wagging, which has happened with big dogs (105 pound dobbie and a 120 pound rottie) all they wanted were the damn treats in my pockets. He had other non lethal weapons at his disposal but he chose to use a lethal gun, luckily the dog only got hit in the leg.

Re: Coward Cop Shoots a Dog That Was Jogging Towards Him
Why wouldn't he fire a warning shot? It would've been enough to scare the dog off.. I can understand him being scared, assuming he has no experience with dogs, but he still had no right to shoot the poor thing.
