Only 3% of Americans regularly carry, including cops/security who carry for work. In a nice part of an affluent City like Boulder, there is a good chance that no citizens on the street are armed. Also, Americans who carry are subject to brandishing laws, and know that use of deadly force carries significant criminal and civil liability. So citizen carriers are quite reluctant to pull their gun for any purpose other than personal self-defense. American cops likewise are reluctant to use deadly force unless they need to defend themselves or other humans from a threat of deadly force. So with that little dose of reality, nope, Americans do not shoot anything that moves over here.  However, break into our homes or pull a pistol on a cop, and it's game over.  |

The open US borders in the past years/decades, coupled with a standing history of Muslim attacks and threats against US, means that the US is now embedded with a sizable population of people who are sworn enemies. Upon seeing this trend, I expected that the US was going to become more like Israel: Subject to repeated Muslim martyr attacks against US soft targets. I think we are living it now.
