China | Two-year-old Falls From Fifth Floor, is Caught Mid-Air

Beijing: Chinese central state television (CCTV) showed security camera footage of what appears to have been a dramatic rescue of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, who was caught by delivery men as she fell from a fifth floor window on Thursday in Ninghai, Zhejiang Province.

The footage shows five men watching her dangle from the window, from the street below, before dashing to the correct spot to catch the girl named Qiqi.

The state television quoted her parents as saying that they had left Qiqi home alone while she was sleeping, but that she had climbed onto the windowsill after she woke up.

Upon hearing the girl's cries, workers from the neighbour delivery company came out onto the street and saw her dangling from the window.

After shouting to reassure the girl, they managed to break her fall with their outstretched arms as she plunged to the ground.

Two men were injured in the rescue, one hurt his neck, and the other one hurt his arm.
Qiqi herself escaped with just a graze on her face.

That's one lucky little girl. Sure is nice to see an uplifting video from China, rather than one showing complete public apathy- like that little girl being hit by two cars,yet everyone just walks around her

Haven't the chinese ever heard of window locks? Sure are a lot of tots falling out of windows over there.

Video: Toddler Falls 5 Stories, Caught by Mail Carriers in China

A two-year-old girl who fell from her home's fifth-floor window survived after being caught by a group of alert mail carriers in east China.

According to Reuters, five mail carriers were taking a break in Ninghai, Zhejiang Province when they saw the crying girl on the ledge of a fifth-floor window.

The couriers rushed over and stood below the girl moments before she fell. Surveillance footage shows the men managed to cushion her fall.

Reuters reports that the girl sustained a bruise on the side of her eye but was otherwise fine. One of the courier's injured his neck and another hurt his arm bracing the girl's fall.

It's the second time this week a falling toddler was saved in dramatic fashion. On Wednesday, the daughter of legendary baseball manager Joe Torre caught a 16-month-old baby who fell from the awning of a store in New York City.

they broke her fall, probably saved her life, but did not catch her per se. The chinese have no understanding of baseball.
