I don't know what they used to tattoo him, but, hopefully, it was an infected needle or needles from the medical unit |

...by the way it seems his hair is so irregularly shorn around the front of his forehead, it looks like they made sure that his whole tatoo'd forehead would be readable from quite a distance....
