Why do people who are mentally ill end up obsessed with religion? Schizophrenics are particularly susceptible to religious mania. People with bipolar or narcissistic personality commonly think they're Gods or talking to God.

Are mentally ill people more likely to believe in a religion, or does religion make you mentally ill? That's a question I'd love to know the answer to.

It might not be what some or most Muslims consider to be Islam. I don't think all Muslims are terrorists or want to behead people. However I think it's naïve to say this is nothing to do with Islam. It's very much to do with the extremist teachings of Islam. If it wasn't to do with Islam then please tell me why she was shouting Allahuakbar? Why did she choose to behead the little girl in the same manner as all the other extremist muslims? Her crazy following of the extreme teachings played a part in this. Hence my question, do the crazies go for this, or does it make them crazy? I don't think any of us can say.

both ways....again....but MOSTLY you do NOT see "Mainstream" muslims doing these things ROUTINELY....We do not see religious zealots from ANY religion actually DOING this or anything vaguely similar. We see batshit crazy people doing this.

The only "point" Im making with this is that she was FIRST AND FOREMOST mentally ill....she could have been screaming "Praise Jesus" and would be equally crazy. Thats why I say this was not an "islamic act".
