It's called having sympathy for people. We have no idea why she was beaten up, so we just have to assume that it was because the bloke was a cunt. She could have been a vile bitch, but since we don't know, it would be stupid to say that she deserved it.

Statistically we absolutely positively do not have to assume any such thing (such as "the bloke was a cunt"). This assumption itself is a white knight tendency. I assume nothing at all, including the supposition that she deserved it. There is a tremendous sense of justice when the cell phone or drug thief gets their comeuppance. If you take something valuable, or if you take something important/essential to someone, then you open yourself to a high penalty. Only children are opted out of responsible behavior and the expectation of quid pro quo. In practice, statistically it is shown repeatedly that women have it made because they receive half the sentences for the same exact crime. Female traitors in France after WWII generally had their heads shaved, while male traitors generally faced the firing squad. Following the Pareto principle at least 80% of the time that action is instigated against the other party, it is going to be because the other party did something, and not because the action was perpetrated against them unilaterally. Outside of the lowest IQ populations where random and unilateral violence does proliferate, I would say that this percentage rises to 95%, and inside a family or between friends I would say it rises above 98%.... meaning that the counterparty (getting their butts whipped) did do something egregious to prompt the behavior/retaliation. |
