sorry. but im in a country where media is used to gain fame and sympathy, and doctored to suit to their needs. so forgive me if i dont notice news writings too much.

and i live in a country where child abuse rights protection are still not in full effect. also only used by people who would gain fame when pushing issues like that. i mean they dont really care about the rights thing, but if it would make them famous, then they will ride that wave.

and to tell the truth, im of two minds about the physical punishments in keeping your children in line. children are also now using that to get their way against their parents in first world countries and parents cant do anything about it. Children tend to go amiss when they dont fear anything.
I mean you cant hit them when they do wrong, and you are obligated to support them whatever they need. so how can you instill a little fear in their hearts so that they will obey you? you cant tell them obey or no money.... cant tell them obey or you get spanked.... if you ground them, they enjoy it with all these high tech entertainment stuffs.

i am against too much violence to own children but i wont mind a little spanking from time to time. And that in the video is way way way beyond just a little spanking.

No one has the right to inflict pain on an innocent. What kind of parent wants to physically harm their own child?

My 2 children can be little shits at times + really test my patience but never in a million years would I lay a finger on them. I detest violence + I love my children.

I've been a parent for 17 years + have never raised my hands to my children (+ trust me, they've deserved a good wallop at times). They get a stern telling off + have their priviledges removed (no pocket money/snacks/TV/gaming). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't + if it doesn't work then that does not give me the right to smack them about!

I was smacked, punched + shouted at as a child (despite the fact that I was well behaved until I turned 11/12) + it didn't stop until I was 17 (plus a few attempts in my 20s). Friends at school used to question why I had hand prints on me from where I'd been smacked. I used to get my room trashed as well. I'm now 36 years old + I still can't get it out of my head, that shit never leaves you.

Children need to learn who is boss, not be terrified of their own parents.
