Re: Bus Driver Fails to Notice a Traffic Jam
I think I remember reading that it was confirmed he was too busy admiring the black car in the left lane to notice his own lane was backed up. I think it's a Maserati or a Maybach IIRC. But yeah, even though it looks like he's watching the road, I'm pretty sure he's watching the car in his mirror when it's behind him, then starts staring at it directly as it passes him. |

Re: Bus Driver Fails to Notice a Traffic Jam
"For a 59-year-old bus driver is a community service of 150 hours and one year license suspension asked for causing a serious traffic accident. A 62-year-old woman was killed and her partner was seriously injured. The accident happened in June 2010. With approximately eighty kilometers per hour the bus driver crashed into a trafficjam and crashed on the stationary car of the victims. The driver, who has 35 years experience, sais that he did not see the traffic jam. From a technical investigation the driver should see the trafficjam and had at least 10 seconds to hit the brake. The suspect was unable to explain his error. However, he said, shortly before the fatal collision he was derived by a billboard on the side of the road." |
