This protects not only them, but the Iraqi civilians around them, and the Iraqis know it. That's why the Iraqis who were paying attention got out of the way without being nudged. They know to make way for the military vehicles. It's not a matter of Americans "doing whatever they want" or being "pigs". They're trying to protect themselves and the Iraqi civilians.

Like in an earlier post stated. A sitting target is easier to hit than a moving target. Up-armored humvee's offer alittle more protection but not as much as you would think. Besides. taliban doesn't give a f about anyone or anything but themselves so they'll shoot and blow everyone up. And the people doing it are brainwashed so they dont give a f if they die.

Convoys have to keep moving continuously. Stopping could give an opportunity for an ambush or an IED attack. If these civilian cars are driving too slowly, our soldiers have no option but to tap them so they'll get out of the way. If you want us to stop harmlessly tapping the back of an Iraqi's car, then go talk to the fucking Muslim assholes who are trying to slaughter our men in uniform, and tell them to stop planting IED's.
