when you are sleepy and try to drive, go to sleep first
even just 15 minutes will help you a lot
Yes. Even if you are driving home, somewhere relatively close.
I had to do that when I’d deliver newspapers. I only did it tbh bc I had a close call with shutting my eyes for a few moments and waking and while it was scary seeing the highway wall getting closer, I didn’t over react on the wheel.
But it was a scary experience.
So from then on if I felt sleepy, even while delivering, I would pull into a parking lot and sleep for like 20-30 minutes. Made all the difference.
Same with road trips, I have to pull over every 3 hours. I don’t even care that the trips take hours longer, I rather that than the alternatives.
