The Mexican government really has to get the cartels under control I mean this shit goes beyond a bunch of thugs selling drugs, the guys aren't even human their animals. Whole Mexican military should be hunting these cowards down, chopping up women who are tied up is easy, why not give them a machete and let them at least have a chance to fight for their lives, cowards I say cowards.

The Zetas ARE the Mexican military, mate. They are a raggle taggle group of ex Mexican Special Forces, Marines, ordinary soldiers, even ex-cops; they were originally the "enforcers" of the Gulf Cartel (Cartele De Golfo), but they broke away from the CDG and formed their own group. These are not some small time Sams with a small operation; they are a paramilitary organisation with serious firepower, and a genuine taste for brutality: make no mistake, these guys (and gals) LOVE what they do. What makes somebody like this? lots of practice. Violence begets violence. And this wont stop. It will go on and on and on, forever. And believe me, it will get worse before it ever gets better, sadly.

The guy talking smack? hes been caught just this week by the Mexican special forces; his name is Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, aka Z40. The leader of the Zetas, he was public enemy number 1, most wanted person. He was nabbed last Monday in Nuevo Laredo, in a pickup truck with two of his honchos, a cool $2 million in cash, and some heavy firepower. Nobody got hurt; mission accomplished. Its hoped that the unbelievable and indiscriminate brutality, which was Morales Modus Operandi, will cessate slightly now hes been grounded. He brought a new level of cruelty and abhorrent viciousness which is off the chart, including "guiso" (stew), a charming method of murder which involves stuffing your nemesis into a large oil drum, pouring diesel in it (diesel, because apparently it burns for longer than other flammable stuff), and setting the person alight; he allegedly used to add pieces of iron to the conflagration, to make it stay hotter and burn for longer  a real class act eh? a disgusting psychopath. However, like buses, theres always another one along shortly; I wonder who will take over his mantle?  |
