I think stuff like this is exactly why border security is needed. It's not to me so much about "OMG GAH ILLEGALZ!!!" but rather that we already are getting evidence some of the same early starts of these cartel wars are taking over around small border towns. Sure I'd like to see a military response. How we can waste all the damned time to go into Iraq or Afghanistan and not care about what is happening within 2 miles of major US cities is beyond me.

It's not even majority drugs anymore. That shit is too easy to make/get here in the US. Hell, now you got people just getting it in Cali and driving it around "legally". They are trafficking in the craziest shit. My basic almost non-existent Spanish tells me the crimes aren't for drugs, but rather against humanity. They knew (or at least starting changing their focus at the start) that drugs wouldn't sustain forever.

So yeah, I'd like to see border security ramped up for no other reason that to stop this shit from spilling any farther. Secure our shores then set up a few bases at the border and give them a god damned hand.

Mexico is a beautiful place. The Mayan ruins I've seen are astonishing. The last couple of years, we don't leave the "touristy" areas. In fact, the last time I ventured away from the beaten path was to see the ruins - in which we had a checkpoint where in a bus of fat, sweaty 16 Americans, dudes armed to the hilt with M-16's, grenades and machetes hanging off their belts swept our bus. They were actually working for Mexico's government trying to preserve the history there because the dumbass cartels went in and ruined some of them. Now, if I'm not at Cozumel, I won't even go and that's only because Cozumel is an island.

Such a damn shame. And I'll tell you one thing. Videos like these - as disgustingly gruesome as they are - have completely changed my mind on *some* immigrants. We should be ready to give some asylum up to Mexicans on the border because yeah, they may not get retaliated like this, but damn man - imagine trying to raise your kids hoping you don't get mistaken for one of these bitches. Your ONLY hope is to pick a cartel and join and hope you can keep your head down enough and do the least amount of jobs that can offer you some protection because God knows the Policia ain't hacking (pardon the pun) it.
