Why is it improbable? Because they were women?  I feel no pity for someone who deals with hard drugs to "feed their families". It's no secret what can happen to those involved with the narcos. There are plenty of jobs out there no matter how shit they are. I would scrub floors and wash clothes for people before getting into the drug business. They knew what they were getting into.
