The body of 18 year old Sara Cristina Ferreira de Souza was discovered early Monday morning on the side of the road, recently deceased.


Her head had been removed and was not present on the scene. Additionally, several of her fingers had been brutally removed, leaving only two on each hand. Because the signature of the criminal group CV in that area is two fingers, they are presumed to be the culprits. It is not known whether the fingers were just crudely removed postmortem or if they were cut off while she was alive and struggling because the amputations were not cleanly done.

The victim had last been seen leaving for a party in a nearby neighborhood late Saturday night. Her parents said she called around 4am on Sunday morning to check in and said she was staying out but was doing fine. They never heard from her again.

The body was discovered about 24 hours later and the full postmortem has not been completed/released. But the initial report indicated that she had not been dead very long when discovered, so she was likely either held prisoner somewhere most of Sunday before being executed or she was only kidnapped late Sunday night.

Her family claimed that she had 'no involvement with criminals.' But they say that about 90% of the time when someone winds up dead and sliced up like provolone. So...yeah.

She is the second young woman to be found decapitated in the area in two weeks. The previous victim was covered by TheCruxofBag here:
