Poor kid. Wish he had been taught to fear the road, the steps to crossing properly and that parked cars hide you from drivers.

It wasn't the driver's fault. As you can see the kid looked before crossing. It could have easily been prevented if he had walked and looked twice.  |

i was hit by a car when i was 15 on my paper route. i stopped, looked and listened. guy came speeding around the bend and hit me. when i came to i thought i was gonna die, he was standing over me and going, "oh shit oh shit oh shit!" i couldn't see anything because my bag of papers was thrown over the top of my head. i had a hell of a bruise, covered my entire left leg and went clean down to my bone, it was there for six months. it was summer so i got to wear shorts and show it off, it was gnarly! hurt like a son of a bitch too. bastard wrecked the bike and it was one i borrowed that day, a banana seat so i could throw another bag over it; it was ad day in the papers.

Yep, not the drivers fault, the kid ran out in front of them. Still feel bad for the kid, but I'd hate to be the driver.
