I have to admit, I don't think I would have intervened. I sure would have had a quick look around for some sort of weapon that I am sure I could have stopped him with though.. And I would be comforting the girl after.

I can imagine that you're scared and run away when a maniac stabs someone in front of you. But i can't imagine that the bastard is gone, the victim lies there on the ground in agony, and you won't even hold her hand or something but just stand there and watch her die...

actually this is brazil and the woman lived but was paralyzed from the waist down.. you can actually see where that nerve gets severed... right after he lifts her up to pull the knife out of her vertebrae. I believe he only got 12 years for this, btw.  |
