As a long-term sufferer of bouts of clinical depression myself,I can understand that a suicidal person isn't in their most rational state of mind.However,I think this is an incredibly selfish way to end it.Train-drivers who run over suicides often suffer the worst post traumatic stress and never drive a train again.As miserable as I can get,I do NOT want to cause anybody else that kind of suffering. Do I want to end it sometimes? Sure.But as my family needs me the thought of leaving them struggling financially,emotionally etc without me is worse than anything I've been thru' so far.I'm glad I've never gotten to the point where I don't care what grief or hardship my death will cause.Besides,I'm taking the slower road with booze & prescription med abuse anyways! |
