This happened in 2000. The trooper was shot in the head and lived for 4 days in critical condition, and then died of the wounds. The murdering fuck who killed him went to jail for life, and died in 2008. The cop left a wife and an 8 month old. I really don't understand why they didn't just shoot that fucker. For no other reason than to be able to get to the cop. Wouldn't have mattered in the end.
