Brasil, A teacher was killed, during a robbery on Wednesday morning, when he came to work at the Municipal School of Basic Education.

The teacher, who was coordinator of the school, was killed with a shot to the chest, at the time when other students entered the school.

A teacher's car was stolen at the school gate less than a month ago.

It happened around 6:30 am when he had just arrived at school and had parked the car when he was approached by the robber.

Frightened, the school coordinator/teacher rushed to the school gate, followed by the criminal, who was armed.

To defend himself the teacher tried to hit the robber with a backpack he carried. But the criminal was not intimidated and shot the victim, who was hit in the chest. Then the thief grabbed the car keys and ran away.

The teacher was taken to the local hospital, but was dead on arrival.

Police said they will investigate whether there were links between two prior assaults suffered by the teacher.

The suspect fired three times on the teacher during a prior assault but missed.

Should of just handed over the keys you can replace a car but not yourself luckily the school bus pulled up a few moments before and those kids were out of the line of fire close 1
