Well you see, it's really quite simple to understand why people blame Islam for these atrocities. It's because the Qur'an itself contains the instructions on how to behave, and the people committing these murders are OFTEN just carrying out honourable deeds. The Qur'an mandates MURDER for crimes like:
-Homosexuality
-Apostacy
-Adultery
-Blasphemy
and many other things as well. It's not a matter of 'misinterpretation' or any nonsense like that as the moderate muslims would like to pretend. The words are written, and it's the book that convinces naiive religious people to behave this way. The extremists for the real "peaceful" religions (like Janeism) for example wind up being harmless to others because Janeism's core morality is based around non-violence. When you have a scripture that your religion is allegedly informed by, if there is atrocities instructed within that scripture, we can label that scripture itself to be immoral. Just like Christianity.

It doesn't mean that there are no 'peaceful' muslims, but it means that they still belong to a religion that is informed by the Qur'an, and that alone is immoral. If Muslims decide to re-write the Qur'an so that it doesn't resemble dogshit, then maybe I can cross Islam off of the list of EVIL religions. Same goes for Christianity.
