Re: Squad Gets Wiped Out, Journalist Shot and Captured
This isn't YouTube so if you want to troll or insult DR members take it to The Water Cooler. Might I suggest you take the time to peruse DR's rules for the site located here ---> http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...w.php?pg=rules Thanks. Oh and might I add that I found it amusing that after chastising whomever you were telling to go back to school, you follow with 'Cause its peace moron!' |

Re: Squad Gets Wiped Out, Journalist Shot and Captured
I don't think it has to do with training, American soldiers are the best trained in the world, a lot of money is invested to ensure they are well trained, infrastructure, supplies, weapons, ammo, technology... and still we can find in YT videos like these: American soldier crying for their life in America war irak or US soldiers crying after ambush in Afghanistan and there's plenty more |

Re: Squad Gets Wiped Out, Journalist Shot and Captured
I have watched the entire clip and I have come to the conclusion based on the footage, that it was not the lack of firepower that resulted in their defeat, but the apparent lack of strategizing and planning that you as a soldier must have to fulfill through intense lenghts if you're in a situation like that. The soldiers seem to be calm, confident, lax. While the guerrillas on the other hand were complex, persevering and tactical. I'm not saying those boys did a bad job out there, they certainly did a very good one, considering they are fighting for a good cause and I humbly salute them all. But for what it's worth the outcome could have been very, very different if some kind of necessary action was taken. And don't tell me there is none, because if there's a will, there's a way, especially if a person will want to live. |
