I have to ask the obvious, how long were they nailed to the tree. Think about it. Would be very uncomfortable and when their knees went limp the nails would tear through all those nerves and tendons. I don’t think he’d bleed out or anything, but being out all night in the winter with bare hands nailed to a tree may very well be deadly. It looks very cold and icy there.
