Re: Security Guard Gunned Down with AK47

AK-47 uses same size rounds as old Enfield .303 I think. When sitting in Bunkers at Uk Army firing ranges when a 303 round hit dirt of bunker the thud was amazing so to actualy be maulered by half a dozens rounds alone the shock would be enough to kill surely as well as wounds

If it has not already been answered, this video is from Mexico, it was a targeted hit on the shop owner, there is a longer version out there. The owner, two customers and the security guard were killed and one of the hitmen accidently got shot by his buddy.

Nah, mate. AK-47 uses 7.62x39mm and the AK-74 uses 5.45x39mm.

Yes you're right but you didnt answer his original question. As the name implies the Enfields send .303 down range but the Brits did convert them to 7.62 Nato in the 50's i think to keep them in service. So yes they did chamber the same round as an AK but were not originally intended to. Ive only fired a NATO converted Enfield on one occasion and was less than impressed. Hope that helps bro

Sorry, but you're slightly off again, mate. 7.62 NATO is 7.62x51mm/.308 Winchester. AK-47/SKS shoot the 7.62x39mm.

I've never fired a 7.62 NATO converted SMLE, but I have fired a 1917 Enfield (American .30-06 based upon the SMLE action, more or less.)

I own/have-owned and shot all of the above, so I hope the aforementioned helps. :)

It looked to me that he was trying to draw a pistol with his right hand. But when the #2 baddie turned the AK muzzle towards him, he tried to instinctively shield himself with his left arm and run out the door. The #2 baddie thought otherwise and prodigiously ventilated the bloke.

FWIW, that head shot was WICKED! O_O

Re: Security Guard Gunned Down with AK47

I had never seen this before so I thought I would share.... If anyone has the actual video and story please let me know!

I don`t have the video, but these were Mexican drug cartel robbing a Jewlery store in Monterey. Also killed were the owner, and a male and female customer.

You are correct, and if i might add .303 & .30-06 are considered high/full powered rounds while the 7.62 x 39 is considered an intermediate powered round.
