That includes wielding a gun to deescalate a situation with no shots fired. You don't see defensive uses on the news because as a legal gun owner you're not going to be that stupid to report it (you'll end up in trouble somehow) and the news doesn't report it. I was in a small town in California about 6 years ago and a mother shot a school shooter, she took a round as well, and even the local news didn't report on it.   |
